Typical Hypocrisy

Al Gore deserves an Oscar for hypocrisy to go along with the two Academy Awards his movie won last night, contends a think tank from his home state Tennessee. The former vice president's mansion in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, says the Tennessee Center for Policy Research, citing data from the Nashville Electric Service. Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth, a 95-minute film warning of a coming cataclysm due to man-made "global warming," won the award for best documentary feature and best song.

Tennessee
Center
for Policy Research President Drew Johnson said that "as the spokesman of choice for the global warming movement, Al Gore has to be willing to walk to walk, not just talk the talk, when it comes to home energy use."
  • JJ Commentary: Global warming, whether a natural or human-caused phenomenon, is one of the key strategies of the global elitists in establishing their one-world government.

Respond Massively

BAGHDADIraq's Shiite vice president narrowly escaped assassination Monday as a blast ripped through a government meeting hall just hours after it was searched by U.S. teams with bomb-sniffing dogs. At least 10 people were killed.

BAGRAM, Afghanistan — A suicide bomber attacked the entrance to the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan on Tuesday during a visit by Vice President Dick Cheney, killing up to 23 people and wounding 20.
  • JJ Commentary: Suicidal terrorists cannot be eliminated and stopped by conventional means. The only way to prevent – or at least reduce – terrorism is to respond massively. When 1,000 are killed for every one the terrorists murder, they will think twice before subjecting their people to that eventuality.

Assault on Christianity

The Oscar-winning director of "Titanic" is expected to announce in a news conference tomorrow that his next film project is a documentary suggesting Jesus wasn't resurrected, was married to Mary Magdalene and had a son. James Cameron is producing "The Lost Tomb of Jesus," claiming the discovery of 10 stone coffins in a Jerusalem suburb in 1980 is actually the family crypt of Jesus of Nazareth. The 90-minute film will be shown on the Discovery Channel at a later date. The film makes the case that Jesus had a son named Judah with Mary Magdalene.

The news comes a year after the release of "The Da Vinci Code" movie, based on the best-selling novel of 2004 by Dan Brown, both of which also claimed Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus. The coffins reportedly carried the names of Jesua, son of Joseph, Mary, Mary, Mathew, Jofa and Judah, son of Jesua. Some archaeologists who studied the find point out those were common names in Israel 2,000 years ago. Prominent Jerusalem archaeologist Amos Kloner is disputing the claims, saying, "It makes a great story for a TV film. But it's impossible. It's nonsense."
  • JJ Commentary: More than ever, Satan is leading a full assault against everything Christian.

End-Time Stratagem

A federal judge in Massachusetts has ordered the "gay" agenda taught to Christians who attend a public school in Massachusetts, finding that they need the teachings to be "engaged and productive citizens." U.S. District Judge Mark L. Wolf yesterday dismissed a civil rights lawsuit brought by David Parker, ordering that it is reasonable, indeed there is an obligation, for public schools to teach young children to accept and endorse homosexuality. Wolf essentially adopted the reasoning in a brief submitted by a number of homosexual-advocacy groups, who said "the rights of religious freedom and parental control over the upbringing of children … would undermine teaching and learning…"

David and Tonia Parker and Joseph and Robin Wirthlin, who have children of school age in Lexington, Mass., brought the lawsuit. They alleged district officials and staff at Estabrook Elementary School violated state law and civil rights by indoctrinating their children about a lifestyle they, as Christians, teach is immoral. " Wolf's ruling is every parent's nightmare. It goes to extraordinary lengths to legitimize and reinforce the 'right' (and even the duty) of schools to normalize homosexual behavior to even the youngest of children... In the ruling, Wolf makes the absurd claim that normalizing homosexuality to young children is 'reasonably related to the goals of preparing students to become engaged and productive citizens in our democracy.' According to Wolf, this means teaching 'diversity' which includes 'differences in sexual orientation.'
  • JJ Commentary: The “homosexual agenda” is a key stratagem of the New World (Dis)Order, designed to undermine the family and God’s divine order.

Beastly Government

German authorities who sent 15 uniformed police officers to take custody of a 15-year-old girl who committed the crime of being homeschooled now have suggested a solution that, in their minds, would "resolve" the situation: the parents should give up custody of their other five children. The situation involving Melissa Busekros has been in the headlines ever since the beginning of this month, when the officers arrived at her parents' home with a court order allowing them to take her into custody, "if necessary by force."

She had fallen behind in math and Latin, and was being tutored at home. When school officials in Germany, where homeschooling has been illegal since Adolph Hitler decided he wanted to control the educating of all children, discovered that fact, she was expelled. School officials then took her to court, obtaining a court order requiring she be committed to a psychiatric ward because of her "school phobia." She later was moved to a different hospital without her parents' knowledge, and then put in foster care. She was permitted to make a telephone call to her parents, although she was not allowed to let them know where she was.
  • JJ Commentary: Think that end-time beastly government is a myth? Think again.

Global Warming Myths

HUMAN EVENTS TOP-10 GLOBAL WARMING MYTHS: #10: The U.S. is going it alone on Kyoto and global warming. Nonsense. The U.S. rejected the Kyoto Protocol’s energy-rationing scheme, along with 155 other countries, representing most of the world’s population, economic activity and projected future growth. Kyoto is a European treaty with one dozen others, none of whom is in fact presently reducing its emissions. Similarly, claims that Bush refused to sign Kyoto, and/or he withdrew, not only are mutually exclusive but also false. We signed it, Nov. 11, 1998. The Senate won’t vote on it. Ergo, the (Democratic) Senate is blocking Kyoto.
  • Since Kyoto was agreed, Europe’s CO2 emissions are rising twice as fast as those of the climate-criminal United States, a gap that is widening in more recent years. So we should jump on a sinking ship?
MADISON, Wis. Feb 22, 2007 (AP)Annie Laurie Gaylor speaks with a soft voice, but her message catches attention: Keep God out of government. Gaylor has helped transform the Freedom From Religion Foundation from obscurity into the nation's largest group of atheists and agnostics, with a fast-rising membership and increasing legal clout. Next week, the group started by Gaylor and her mother in the 1970s to take on the religious right will fight its most high-profile battle when the U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments on its lawsuit against President Bush's faith-based initiative. The initiative helps religious organizations get government funding to provide social services.

The court will decide whether taxpayers can sue over federal funding that the foundation believes promotes religion. It could be a major ruling for groups that fight to keep church and state separate. Among its victories, the group has stopped funding for a Milwaukee charity that Bush visited during the 2000 campaign and an Arizona group that preached to children of prisoners. Critics say the group imposes such an extreme view of the First Amendment that religious groups can't receive tax dollars for even laudable purposes.
  • JJ Commentary: Our Christian-founded nation is under attack by Satan as never before.

Conspiracy Confirmed

A top Democratic Party foreign policy specialist said on Friday that a "very small group" of conservatives is unfairly accusing him of being at the center of a "vast conspiracy" to implement the idea of a "North American Union" by "stealth." He called the charges "absurd." But Robert Pastor, a former official of the Carter Administration and director of the Center for North American Studies at American University (CNAS), made the remarks at an all-day February 16 conference devoted to the development of a North American legal system. The holding of the conference was itself evidence that a comprehensive process is underway to merge the economies, and perhaps the social and political systems, of the three countries.

Pastor said that he favors a "North American Community," not a formal union of the three countries, and several speakers at the conference ridiculed the idea of protecting America's borders and suggested that American citizenship was an outmoded concept. Wearing a lapel pin featuring the flags of the U.S., Canada and Mexico, Pastor told AIM that he favors a $200-billion North American Investment Fund to pull Mexico out of poverty and a national biometric identity card for the purpose of controlling the movement of people in and out of the U.S.
  • JJ Commentary: So the "conspiracy" is now very much out in the open, if only the media would pay some attention to it. The New World (Dis)Order is alive and well

End-Time Insanity

Two Christians in Australia have been indicted for criticizing Islam, and another for criticizing Zionism. A filmmaker has been threatened with arrest for using the word "homosexual" rather than "gay." Now a German priest faces jail time for publicly criticizing abortionists, and in Holland, "fornicators" and "adulterers" are protected classes and cannot be criticized. All courtesy of the concept of federal "hate crimes" legislation, which unless defeated soon could be mandatory in the United States, warns a rising chorus of critics.

"All that matters are the delicate feelings of members of federally protected groups," said Michael Marcavage, director of RepentAmerica.com "Truth is not allowed as evidence in hate crimes trials. … A homosexual can claim emotional damage from hearing Scripture that describes his lifestyle as an abomination. He can press charges against the pastor or broadcaster who merely reads the Bible in public. The 'hater' can be fined thousands of dollars and even imprisoned!"
  • JJ Commentary: This is insane! How does this align with the concept of free speech? It even contradicts the “tolerance” mantra of secular progressives. People have indeed been blinded by the god of this age (2Cor. 4:4). A sure sign of end-time madness

Deficit Disaster Looms

WASHINGTON (Reuters) — The U.S. trade deficit widened more than expected in December and grew 6.5% during all of 2006 to a record $763.6 billion, a Commerce Department report showed Tuesday. Despite setting a record, the growth in the trade deficit slowed in 2006 from the blistering 17.3% pace in 2005. The politically sensitive trade gap with China expanded 15.4% to a record $232.5 billion in 2006, despite record U.S. exports to that country of $55.2 billion. Imports from China surged 18.2% to a record $287.8 billion, ensuring that concerns about China's exchange rate and other government policies, which U.S. lawmakers and manufacturers believe unfairly aid Chinese companies, will remain a hot political topic in 2007. The United States also ran record trade deficits with Japan and Mexico in 2006.

The annual trade deficit has set a record for five consecutive years, a development the Bush administration attributes to the fact that the U.S. economy has been growing more rapidly than the rest of the world. The administration argues that American consumers have benefited from the flood of cheaper imports, a development which has helped to hold down inflation. But critics contend the deficits are a reflection of a flawed trade policy that has failed to protect American workers from unfair foreign competition.

  • JJ Commentary: Someday all these deficits (including the federal budget and consumer debt) will come home to roost. These trade policies have not only failed to protect U.S. workers, but have purposely encouraged globalism, as promulgated by the New World (Dis)Order folks.

FBI, Heal Thyself

WASHINGTON — Three or four FBI laptop computers are lost or stolen each month and the agency is unable to say in many instances whether information on the machines is sensitive or classified, the Justice Department's inspector general said Monday. Despite new tracking systems designed to help the FBI account for thousands of weapons and personal computers, the bureau reported that 160 firearms and an equal number of laptops were lost or stolen during a recent 44-month period, according to a new Justice Department audit. Of the computers that were lost from February 2002 to September 2005, at least 10 contained sensitive or classified information, according to the review by the Justice Department's inspector general. One of those computers, the review said, included telephone numbers and addresses of bureau employees, as well as software used to make bureau ID badges.

Looming Fiscal Crisis

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has found some strong support for his fears of a looming fiscal crisis from an unlikely source: Bill Clinton’s Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin. Bernanke is a Republican and Bush administration appointee. Rubin said that the U.S. faces "excruciating decisions" regarding what he sees as an increasingly unsound economy. In his wide-ranging Jan. 22 interview with PBS’s Rose, Rubin asserted that this country is on the "wrong track on almost every front." "I think we’ve got to re-establish sound fiscal conditions . . . so we have an environment conducive to growth, and also to avoid the dangers that, as [Federal Reserve Chairman] Ben Bernanke said very recently in his congressional testimony, [underlie] unsound fiscal conditions. I think that’s a tremendous threat to the global economy. To our economy and the global economy,” Rubin added.

"I don’t really think there’s too many question about this — a strong dollar grounded in strong policy is very much in our country’s interest, because [of] the exchange rate. Remember — the exchange rate between the dollar and other currencies is basically a way of expressing the rate at which we take our goods and services and exchange them for the goods and services of other people of other countries. And the more . . . goods and services we can get for the ones that we give, the better off our standard of living will be. Therefore, a strong dollar is very much in our interest…. If the current account deficit doesn’t change, then at some point something is going to have to give. It seems to me that it’s very likely there’s going to have to be an adjustment of the dollar.” Rubin stated.
  • JJ Commentary: The dollar is being purposely undermined by many of the nations who are opposed to American, including Russian, China, India and the Arab nations. Osama Bin Laden has stated his real goal is to bankrupt the U.S. When (not if) these nations decide to cash in their wealth of dollars, the value of the dollar (already extremely low) will crash and so will our economy. The somewhat vague statements of these leading economists are intended to serve as a warning without panicking world markets.

Precursor Marks

A revolt against a national driver's license, begun in Maine last month, has been quickly spreading to other states. The Maine Legislature overwhelmingly passed a resolution objecting to the Real ID Act, and within a week, lawmakers in Georgia, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Vermont and Washington state also balked at Real ID. It is expected that these states will soon pass laws or adopt resolutions declining to participate in the federal identification network. Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming all have active legislation against Real ID. Missouri state Rep. James Guest has formed a coalition of lawmakers from 34 states to file bills that oppose or protest Real ID.
  • JJ Commentary: Many consider this to be a move toward a “national ID” which is a precursor to the “mark of the beast.”

Border Insanity

A former Border Patrol agent who was convicted of shooting a drug smuggling suspect and then lying about it has been beaten by fellow inmates in prison. Prison officials on Tuesday confirmed assertions by a congressman and relatives of Ignacio Ramos. He was attacked Saturday night after his case was described on the TV show "America's Most Wanted," the officials said. The convictions of Ramos and fellow former agent Jose Alonso Compean sparked outcry from critics who argued that the men were merely doing their job defending the border against criminals. U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., a vocal supporter of the agents and opponent of illegal immigration, criticized the Bush administration Tuesday for failing to protect Ramos and demanded a full presidential pardon for the two men. "Not only did the administration choose the side of a foreign dope runner over the agents who stopped him from smuggling a load of drugs into the county — now they've failed to protect that agent while his case is on appeal," he said in a statement.

A Department of Homeland Security official admitted today the agency misled Congress when it contended it possessed investigative reports proving Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean confessed guilt and declared they "wanted to shoot some Mexicans" prior to the incident that led to their imprisonment. The admission came during the testimony of DHS Inspector General Richard L. Skinner before the Homeland Security Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee, according to Michael Green, press secretary for Rep. John Culberson, R-Texas. Rep. John Culberson of Texas is calling for the resignation of Department of Homeland Security officials who he says lied about the case of two Border Patrol agents imprisoned for their actions in the shooting of a drug smuggler. Culberson said he believes false information was given to congressmen to "throw us off the scent and cover up what appears to be an unjust criminal prosecution of two U.S. law enforcement officers whose job was protecting our country's borders from criminals and terrorists."

Three Border Patrol agents, who were given immunity to testify against fellow agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean in the Feb. 17, 2005, shooting of a drug-smuggling suspect as he fled across the U.S.-Mexico border, are no longer with the agency because they changed their accounts of the incident several times. These agents were at the location of the shooting incident, assisted in destroying evidence of the shooting.
  • JJ Commentary: The New World (Dis)Order wants to keep the borders open as the move ahead to form the North American Union.

Two-Face, Forked-Tongue Politicians

Just about a year and a half ago, Sen. John McCain went to court to try to curtail the influence of a group to which A. Jerrold Perenchio gave $9 million, saying it was trying to "evade and violate" new campaign laws with voter ads ahead of the midterm elections. As McCain launches his own presidential campaign, however, he is counting on Perenchio, the founder of the Univision Spanish-language media empire, to raise millions of dollars as co-chairman of the Arizona Republican's national finance committee. In his early efforts to secure the support of the Republican establishment he has frequently bucked, McCain has embraced some of the same political-money figures, forces and tactics he pilloried during a 15-year crusade to reduce the influence of big donors, fundraisers and lobbyists in elections. That includes enlisting the support of Washington lobbyists as well as key players in the fundraising machine that helped President Bush defeat McCain in the 2000 Republican primaries.
  • JJ Commentary: Yet another two-faced, forked-tongue politician who says one thing and does another.

Last Days Temple

Using maps created in 1866 by a British explorer and passages from the Jewish Mishnah, an Israeli archaeologist and professor at Hebrew University says he has pinpointed the location of the sacred Jewish Temple, twice built and twice destroyed in ancient times. While popular consensus places the Temple, built by King Solomon in the 10th century B.C. and rebuilt by Jews who returned from Babylon in the 5th century B.C., on the site of the present Muslim Dome of the Rock, Prof. Joseph Patrich says archaeological remains show its exact location – and the consensus is wrong.

According to Patrich, the Temple, its corresponding courtyards, chambers and gates were oriented in a more southeasterly direction, sitting diagonally on what is the modern Temple Mount. The difference in orientation and the placement further eastward varies from the east-facing orientation of other scholars who believe the Temple was closer to today's Western Wall. However, that difference is why, Patrich says, the Temple did not sit over the rock believed by Jews to be the site where Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac and where Muslims believe Muhammad ascended into heaven.

Patrich's siting has the Temple further east and south of locations proposed by other scholars and diagonal, rather than perpendicular to the Temple Mount's eastern and western walls. It also leaves the rock in the Dome of the Rock outside of the confines of the Temple itself. Patrich said his research on the Temple's location is strictly academic, and political connotations should not be attributed to it.
  • JJ Commentary: Since the temple is to be re-built during the latter days, but not the outer courts (Rev. 11:2), it makes sense that it would not be on the Dome of the Rock, because the “covenant with many” (Daniel 9:27) would presumably leave the holy Muslim site intact.

Political Correctness = Death

Citing recent internal memos, Department of Homeland Security employees complain their boss Michael Chertoff is hamstringing counter-terror operations with pro-Islamic political correctness. They say headquarters has cautioned officials not to describe Islamic terrorism as Islamic and to respect Islam as a "religion of peace." "It's constantly drilled into us that Islam is not the enemy, and that the terrorists are merely a minority of 'extremists' distorting Islam," said one official who wished to go unnamed.

"It's ridiculous. 'Extremists' could mean anyone. Who are we talking about here? Neo-Nazi extremists? Environmental extremists?" another DHS official said. "It's so politically correct. If the head of Homeland Security can't say it, who can?" He noted that as a Jew, Chertoff is especially sensitive to charges of bigotry leveled by Muslim-rights groups. In a press conference on the sky-terror plot, President Bush called the British terrorists and their ilk "Islamic fascists" but quickly backed off the remark after the Council on American-Islamic Relations and other Muslim groups complained.
  • JJ Commentary: If you study Islam, you see that jihad and violence is not only condoned but commanded against all non-Muslims in order to take over the entire world. It’s not a peaceful religion. Political correctness and tolerance lead to apathy, complacency and ultimately death.

Worrisome Debt

Globalization long has been regarded as a made-in-America phenomenon, driven by Silicon Valley's technology, Hollywood's movies and Wall Street's cash. But suddenly, countries formerly on the periphery of world events seem poised to challenge American dominance of this age of global integration. It's not only that developing countries are proving to be white-hot investment opportunities, though they are: the Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets index gained 242% the past four years. It's also that emerging markets, once known dismissively as the Third World, are now central to Americans' lives. Not long ago, these countries were of interest only to the Peace Corps. Now, everything from the financial lifeline that makes possible the modern American lifestyle to the identity of your next boss, customer, competitor or cultural trendsetter likely can be found in the developing world.

"We're in the middle of the biggest shift in 200 years — since the Industrial Revolution. It's really that big," said Antoine van Agtmael, the investment manager credited with coining the term "emerging markets" in 1981. The new prominence of emerging markets represents a sharp departure from the flurry of financial crises that tore through Mexico, Asia and Russia in the 1990s. Since then, scores of developing countries have cleaned up their balance sheets, slashed inflation rates and accumulated enormous stockpiles of hard-currency reserves. China alone sits atop a $1 trillion mountain of cash. Russia, Mexico, India and South Korea also are swiftly building their cash hoards, according to Treasury Department data.

Developing nations have gone from beggar to banker. The U.S. must borrow enormous sums each day to finance the gap between its anemic national savings rate and its consumption. Increasingly, those funds — largely raised by selling Treasury securities — come from poorer nations. Through November, the most recent data available, more than 29% of the $806 billion in net securities purchases came from developing countries compared with just 5% in 1998, according to Bank of America. The river of capital flowing into the U.S. economy enables Americans to continue consuming beyond their means. But some analysts find it worrisome that the world's wealthiest nation now depends on loans from some of the globe's poorest countries.
  • JJ Commentary: Worrisome? Our debt-ridden ways are coming home to roost. Our financial future is in the hands of those countries who despise us. Worrisome? Nay, disastrous.

Grassroot Justice

Pro-abortion Democrats control Congress, Nancy Pelosi is House speaker, many disaffected voters are veering left, Hillary Clinton may be the next president – and 34 years after Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court still has a pro-Roe majority. Moreover, since that fateful 1973 ruling, almost 50 million unborn babies have been aborted, and millions of mothers hurt physically, psychologically and spiritually. So, why are pro-lifers smiling?

They're smiling because “the availability of abortions is diminishing because fewer doctors are willing to perform the procedure,” according to the Washington Post. “Unless drastic changes are made, American women will lose the right to abortion and the [U.S.] Supreme Court won’t be the cause of it ... the reason will be that physicians either can't or won't perform this essential service." – Barbara Radford, former director, National Abortion Federation.
  • JJ Commentary: This is the mark of a true grassroots movement, where people change things at the ground level before politicians respond with laws the people want

Preliminary Marks

Texas has become the first state in the nation to require schoolgirls to be vaccinated with Merck & Co.'s human papillomavirus vaccine in order to be allowed in school, and one Christian organization leader says that's not a lot different from requiring those girls to carry a condom. "The purpose of vaccinations in children at schools was to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. There's nothing wrong with doing that kind of thing," Debi Vinnedge, executive director for Children of God for Life told WND. "But this is a disease that is not spread any other way other than direct sexual intercourse."

She said the state doesn't mandate other treatments that are available for sexually transmitted diseases, and adding Gardasil to the list of state-required vaccinations "brings out a whole slew of problems." She said it requires parents to address with their children sexual issues they may not want to detail at that particular age, and if they go through the special requirements of a religious exemption process, it pinpoints the family – and children – in the school atmosphere as "those" people.
  • JJ Commentary: As the New World (Dis)Order rolls on, we will see more and more of forced behavior in an effort to control the masses, culminating in the “mark of the beast.”

Islamic Occupation

With heads bowed reverently, Democrats were led in prayer yesterday by a Muslim imam who essentially asked Allah to assist in converting the party members to Islam, according to a scholar and author. Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch and author of "The Truth about Muhammad," took note of the invocation given at the Democratic National Committee winter meeting by Husham Al-Husainy, imam of the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center, a shiite mosque in Dearborn, Mich. According to a transcript of the prayer, which can be seen on a video clip provided by HotAir.com, the imam said: In the name of God the most merciful, the most compassionate. We thank you, God, to bless us among your creations. We thank you, God, to make us as a great nation. We thank you God, to send us your messages through our father Abraham and Moses and Jesus and Muhammad. Through you, God, we unite. So guide us to the right path. The path of the people you bless, not the path of the people you doom. Help us God to liberate and fill this earth with justice and peace and love and equality. And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation. Ameen.
  • Spencer, in a post on his Jihad Watch website, said he found it interesting to see the Muslim leader praying, "in veiled terms to be sure, for their conversion to Islam, and, oh yes, for the destruction of Israel ("And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation")."Imagine if a Christian priest or minister had prayed at a DNC meeting that those attending be guided away from the path of those doomed by God," Spencer said.

Doubly Victimized

CAMBRIDGE, Minn. (AP) — A farmer accused of chasing down a suspected thief and holding him at gunpoint until authorities arrived now faces a more serious charge than the alleged thief himself. Kenneth Englund, 74, was charged with second-degree assault, a felony. Englund's target, who the sheriff said admitted stealing about $5 worth of gasoline from Englund's neighbor, was charged with misdemeanor theft.Sheriff Mike Ammend said people can't take the law into their own hands, and that Englund's actions were "an invitation to a shootout. There's so many things that could have gone wrong here."
  • JJ Commentary: There’s something very wrong with this scenario. Government has taken away our rights to defend ourselves and our property. Laws intended to protect the innocent now favor the guilty.

Economic Disruption

For all 2006, people spent more than they earned, making the savings rate the worst since the Great Depression. Commerce said Thursday that the savings rate for 2006 was a negative 1%, meaning that not only did people spend everything they earned but they also dipped into savings or increased borrowing to finance purchases. The 2006 figure was lower than a negative 0.4% in 2005 and was the poorest showing since a negative 1.5% savings rate in 1933 during the Depression.
  • JJ Commentary: With consumer borrowing continuing to rise, as well as government debt and trade deficits, and with the dollar falling precipitously against the Euro, the U.S. is in prime position for severe disruption, especially if China and Arab countries continue to sell of their large stockpile of dollars. Osama Bin Laden has stated that his goal is to bankrupt America – this could be the year
